I. Introduction
The purpose of the Installation Guide is to assist in the installation of ECAS products. The entire Installation Guide must be read and understood before beginning installation or performing any maintenance, servicing, or repair. The Installation Guide includes a list of hardware and installation procedures ECAS reserves the right to make changes and improvements to its products and the Installation Guide at any time.
ii. important safety notice
Installation of this product will not change the GVWR rating or payload of the vehicle. Before installation, check your owner’s manual and verify that the maximum load of the vehicle will not be exceeded. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating = Maximum Allowable Load for a Fully Loaded Vehicle (including passengers and cargo). The maximum permissible load capacity of a fully loaded vehicle (including passengers and cargo) – as well as other weight limits, tyre, rim size and inflation pressure data – is shown on the vehicle’s safety compliance certification label. Payload: the maximum permissible weight of goods and passengers that a goods vehicle is designed to carry. The payload is the full load weight minus the overall weight. Rear air springs must not be inflated beyond the recommended maximum and minimum pressure limits when fitted in the lower limit position of the wheel hop: ➢ Minimum pressure 2 Bar ➢ Maximum pressure 3 Bar To avoid damage to the air spring – when installing the product, make sure that there is sufficient clearance (15mm) around the air spring to avoid interference. Do not drive the vehicle with the gas spring uninflated!

IV. Installation steps
Step 1: Vehicle preparation
Using a hoist, lift the vehicle; | ![]() |
Remove the plastic shield under the vehicle’s rear overhang.
Step 2: Remove the rear coil spring
Remove the rear coil springs by slowly lowering the workpiece holding the rear suspension tyre or spring tray.
STEP 3: Replacement of the Rear Hollow Spring
Align the rear hollow spring with the original car seat holes and fasten it. (When the vehicle falls slowly to the ground, you should observe the positioning holes of the base under the rear hollow spring and the centre holes of the pallet to ensure that they are the same). | ![]() |
Step 4: Install the valve pump with bracket assembly
Install the threaded rivets in the position on the left side of the chassis, in front of the wheels; (if there are original mounting holes with their own screw holes no need to Ram)
Connect the electronically controlled suspension harness to the corresponding ports of the air pump, pressure relief valve, temperature sensor, and distribution valve; Install the air compressor between the drive shaft and the suspension arm; Lowering the suspension arms for ease of installation.
Use M8 X 30 bolt washers as well as M6 X 30 bolt washers to Fixing; Installation torque for M8 bolts 20Nm; M6 bolts with a mounting torque of 15 Nm. Remarks: When installing the filter, make sure that the filter and the cover are tightly connected so that the arrows on the filter and the cover point in the same direction. Place the filter in a clean, dry place.
Step 5: Install the Rear Height Sensor
Install the valve pump with bracket assembly to the body by means of 2 M6×16 hexagonal flange face bolts for each of the left/right height sensors (note that the approximate direction of the installation pendulum angle is the same as that in the picture on the right, and it is necessary to avoid installation of the rocker arm tie rods in the opposite direction of the joints). | Left rear height sensor with bracket assembly |

Step 7: suspension wiring, along the air conditioning duct through the fuel tank filler pipe and then through the carbon canister and inside the meta-beam to the underside of the brake pedal (the underbody wiring harness is routed through the original wiring harness hole underneath the brake pedal)![]() The air line connects the rear air spring to the corresponding fitting on the valve pump with bracket assembly. Important: – Securely attach all lines to the underside of the vehicle using nylon ties; – Do not tie securely to brake lines; – Provide sleeves to protect tubes where there are sharp edges or heat sources; Inspection: After assembly, check that all mounting bolts are tight. It must be ensured that the mounting brackets cannot move. If there is a mounting plate or bracket that contacts the brake hose at the air spring, the mounting plate or bracket must be adjusted so that it does not interfere with the brake hose. ![]()
Step 8: Tap into the Distribution Valve Air Line
Dispensing valve fitting instructions – To cut the pipe correctly a suitable cutter (not scissors) must be used – when inserting the pipe into the connection it must be pushed in approximately 14mm, pulling the pipe outwards and unable to pull it out proves that it is fitted in place. – Note: When the tube is removed, it will need to be trimmed 14mm from the root when reconnecting. Insert the wheel corresponding to the distributor valve hole (refer to the illustration) | ![]() |
Step 9: Connect the wiring in the car
1. Remove the left front pedal and lift up the driver’s side carpet.2. Route the power end of the interior harness from under the seat base to under the brake pedal and plug it into the underbody harness (harness port A-A B-B C-C).3. Route the power port of the interior harness from under the dashboard (in front of the centre armrest) to the passenger side fuse box.4. Positive terminal lock to long power port, IGN inserted into fuse purple power module free position, and assembled with one 15A fuse piece.5. The CAN cable plug is inserted into the body CAN connection box under the A-pillar of the passenger seat. | ![]() |
The service switch control box and ECU are mounted under the main driver’s seat and secured to the side panels using Velcro. | ![]() |
Step 10: Connect to your Laptop
Connect the computer via PCAN to the DB9 female connector under the main driver’s seat
For more details, please refer to the operation guide related to the ECAS host computer. | ![]() |
Refer to the following steps for installing a four-point air suspension front end
1. Replace the original front wheel shock absorber assembly.2. Remove the under-engine guard plate, and then remove the three fixing screws of the steering wheel.3. Use the supplied M4 Ram special tool to make Ram screw holes in the original Yuanbao beams.4. Pull the 6% screw holes in the original holes of the lower arm, and install the two-wheel height sensor bracket. Connect the air and electrical lines. | ![]() |

IMPORTANT NOTE: Four-wheel alignment is required after the installation is complete. It is recommended to use V260 with air suspension data for alignment.
