Although only the front and rear of the car are covered with camouflage fabric, it is assumed that the Model 3 and Model Y, which already share a lot of common parts, will undergo similar changes in their facelift projects, and it is assumed that the Model Y Juniper will be compared to the new version of the Model 3, which will be equipped with slimmer and sharper matrix headlamps, a brand-new front and rear bumper, and a basket of hollow taillamp clusters. The overall aerodynamic performance is likely to be improved by the new front and rear styling, contributing to the longer range.
Project Juniper is a planned facelift for the Tesla Model Y. According to multiple sources, this facelift will bring a number of design and feature improvements, and is expected to begin production in 2024 and go on sale in 2025.
The Model Y and the Model 3 are “brothers,” sharing many parts and technologies, as well as many similarities in exterior and interior design. As a result, it is expected that the Model Y will receive design updates similar to those of the Model 3 facelift.
These updates include new front and rear bumpers, slimmer headlamps and taillamps for a more modern and sharper look. Inside, the Model Y will feature a new steering wheel design, removal of the gearshift paddles, the introduction of a rear entertainment screen, and ventilation seats in the front seats.
